Hello! My name is Molly Dishmon. I am a passionate Spanish language and culture teacher. My studies of the Spanish language have ranged from graduate studies to language studies in Nicaragua, Guatemala and Spain. I currently teach Spanish levels 1-3 at Plymouth High School in Canton, Michigan. Before teaching in Canton, I taught Spanish at two different middle schools in Howell, Michigan.
I received my undergraduate degree in Spanish with an emphasis in secondary education and a minor in health education from Grand Valley State University in 2010. In 2007, I spent a year abroad in Alicante, Spain, where I studied at La Universidad de Alicante. In addition, I spent two months in Nicaragua where I attended intensive Spanish language classes at Casa Xalteva in Granada. I am currently completing my last semester of courses in the Michigan State University Masters of Arts of Foreign Language Teaching program.
Please use the menu on the left hand side of this page to navigate through the work that I have completed during my Masters in Teaching a Foreign Language program at Michigan State University. The projects that I completed during the program that you can find on this website demonstrate the knowledge that I have gained during the program and how that knowledge impacts my teaching. Below you can find a few items that I use in my Spanish three class such as my syllabus, song quiz and Spanish speaking self-assessment.
